Why choose a Registered Dietitian?

A registered dietitian (R.D.) is a health professional who provides reliable nutrition advice and education. The initials “R.D.” signify that this professional has fulfilled specific educational requirements, has passed a national registration exam, and is a recognized member of the nation’s largest organization of nutrition professionals, the American Dietetic Association. Due to the lack of regulation in some states, the title “nutritionist” does not indicate a person has the credentials or has any formal education in the nutrition field. Look for the initials R.D. to ensure that you are receiving accurate and appropriate information for your health.
