I’ve never joined a program before and am a little unsure if this is the right atmosphere for me.

It is the goal of Get Fit Live Fit to ensure that every individual feels welcome and has a positive experience. We're here to help you achieve your goals regardless of what they may be or how they may compare to others'.


I’ve never run before - are there any classes for me?

Consider trying the 5k running class. The main goal of this group is to train you to run a continuous 5k.


How much does it cost to participate? What is included?

Please see the program of your choice for complete pricing details. Get Fit Live Fit offers pre-written programs that can be purchased online and we offer customized training programs for those local to the Portland/Vancouver Area. All customized programs include a personalized training program based on your completed intake form, FREE technical tee ($40 value), FREE Water Bottle, Fit Right Northwest's monthly e-newsletter, discount on merchandise at Fit Right Northwest stores , online access to your personal account information and useful fitness calculators. All online participants have the option to get a tee and water bottle as well. If you’re local and purchase an online program, you are welcome to join us at our scheduled practice sessions (Saturdays only please) so that you can work out with others.

What’s the benefit to me for joining one of the training programs?

Walking and Running with a group provides motivation, friendship, ensures adherence and support to keep you walking and running, so that you can achieve your goals. Our program instruction helps ensure you are walking or running properly to prevent injury and there is always someone on hand to answer any questions you may have. Our educational talks are designed to have professionals available to answer any of your specific questions. Each Wednesday and Saturday meeting will have pace leaders available to assist with the group training portion and help keep you on track with your goals.


If I join, will I have a personal coach available to me at each practice session and will they be there to follow up with me and keep me on track with my goals?

As a participant in one of our online programs, you will receive the complete training schedule as outlined, but have the option of joining our Saturday training sessions if you’re local. If you’ve signed up for one of our customized training sessions, you will receive a program written specifically for you based upon the information to provide during the initial survey process. Each program is written by a professional and experienced coach. Each Wednesday and Saturday training session will have pace leaders and other program members participating and coming together to execute their specific workouts together as a group. The rest of the week, it’s up to you to follow your individualized program. Our educational seminars and online email resources will also be available to provide you with the proper information to assist you in achieving your individual goals. If you want personal coaching with regular direct contact with one or more of our Get Fit Live Fit Expert’s, please sign up for one of the personalized options available to you for your desired category.


How many people can sign up for each program offering?

There is no limit. Each program is designed to have several different pace groups (to meet everyone's running goals and abilities) and extra pace groups are added to meet demand as necessary.  We keep pacer-to-runner/walker ratios below 1:10 for the benefits of small-group attention.


Is it still possible to sign up for a clinic after it has already started?

Online training only. Registration ends one week prior to the start of each scheduled group training session. If you miss this deadline, you can still register for an online program, but registration will be closed for all customized program offerings for that current program session offering.


Will I be too young/old to be in a clinic?

The customized program minimum age is 18. In each group training session there is usually a wide range of age, gender, and experience levels participating.
